Join us in celebrating Economic Development Week May 8-13, 2017!

Do you know who your local economic development organization is?

It is the Hancock County Economic Development Council (HEDC).

Their job is to help and assist business owners to start or expand their business. You could call the HEDC a liaison of sorts, between the business company and local government.

The HEDC began in Hancock County in 1985. The current staff has between them almost 30 years of economic development experience—in addition, the executive director is a certified economic developer or CEcD.  They bring knowledge, resources, relationships, planning, and much more—if they don’t know the answer to your specific need, they know who to ask.

The HEDC has a long-term commitment to your business and their services are FREE.

Some of the areas of assistance are:

  • Local, State, and Federal Government
  • Utility, WorkForce Development, Zoning, etc.
  • Tax Abatement
  • Site selection
  • Cost of doing business analysis
  • Training Grants guidance
  • Micro Loan Conduit

And much more!
