Tech Castings LLC Adding Jobs

Shirley, IN — Tech Castings LLC – a private IN-based foundry specializing in investment casting of vacuum-melt superalloy turbine engine components serving a worldwide commercial and military aerospace customer base – was recently awarded grants and tax credits by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC).

Specifically, the IEDC will offer a grant of up to $30,000 from the Skills Enhancement Fund for training the Company’s eligible, Indiana resident employees. This flexible training program will provide partial reimbursement for a wide variety of training costs, will be for a two (2) year period and will be limited to a maximum of 50% of the Company’s eligible training costs.

The IEDC will also offer up to $310,000 in Economic Development for a Growing Economy (“EDGE”) tax credits which may be certified over a period not to exceed 10 years (2015-2024). The calculation is based on the creation of 44 net new full-time positions for Indiana resident employees earning an average wage of $18.20 per hour by the year 2019.
